While some of us were distracted, and others among us entertained, by the steady stream of economic, social, and political chaos that White House churns out, many of us missed the fact that the news couldn't be better for the U.S.'s billionaire class.
Despite all their complaining that President Biden was too focused on the working class and the U.S.'s failing infrastructure, in 2024, for the first time ever, the annual total wealth of U.S. billionaires increased by more than $1 trillion. That likely won't be the case in 2025, due to a shaky stock market, global economic worries, and the fact that Elon Musk, all by himself, has taken at least a quarter trillion dollar haircut. Still, wealthy Americans had their best year ever - and all without a tax cut.
Among the other 2024 data that go against the billionaires' persecution complex is this: during Biden's full term, the number of U.S. billionaires increased by nearly 50%, according to the ultra conservative Wall Street Journal.
In all, the top 10% of U.S. citizens now own 67% of the country’s total wealth. On the flip side, the bottom 50% of the country owns a scant 3% of U.S. wealth.

scant 3% of the U.S.’s wealth.
